I am a professional
photojournalistic/editorial style wedding photographer
with a background in photojournalism. My formal
education as a studio artist centered primarily around
environmental portraiture using 35mm and medium-format
film and printing, although currently I do all of my
work using professional digital camera gear. I love photographing
weddings in the photojournalistic/editorial style, in
part, because it allows me to draw upon all of my
photography experience and creative vision. It also
provides me with the unique opportunity to be of service
to people during one of the most enduring (and
rites in human history. Plus, it's a lot like
photographing news without having to chase people around to get names...* My
style has been described as "frank", "ethereal", and "cinematic."
In addition, I have been the official wolf
photographer for Wolf Haven International since 1998. It is a
tremendous honor and privilege for me and I especially love
leading Wolf Photo Tours for the organization that are geared
toward camera clubs and amateur enthusiasts.
Locally, my images have been published in
Northwest, AAA Journey, the Peninsula Daily News'
Bridal Planner and Sunset magazines,
and in newspapers throughout Washington State and beyond
including Alaska Airlines and Delta Sky magazines.
Additional publications include Robert Busch’s award-winning nonfiction book The Wolf Almanac – A Celebration of Wolves and
